JAPANESE STUDIES STUDENTS

Minimum Qualifications
(See "Program Announcement" for details)

  • Nationality:
    Belgian (An applicant who has Japanese nationality at the time of application is not eligible)
  • Age:
    Applicants must be born between 2nd Apri 1980 and 1st April 1992.
  • Academic Background:
    Majoring in fields related to the Japanese language or Japanese culture at university.
  • Japanese Language Ability:
    Applicants must have Japanese language ability sufficient for receiving education at Japanese university in Japanese.

Schedule 2010

  • Application Deadline: Friday 5th March 2010
  • Japanese Written Test & Interview: Wednesday 17th March 2010
  • Final Result Announcement: August~September 2010
  • Departure for Japan: October 2010

In order to fill in "3. The university that you wish to attend" of the application form (annex), please refer to the "Course Guide" on the MEXT's website (http://www.mext.go.jp/a_menu/koutou/ryugaku/boshu/07121801/001.htm).

You are required to attach an English or Japanese translation made by yourself to each document if it is written in another language.

  • CALL MR. KINO (TEL:02.511.23.07) TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT BEFORE VISIT

  • BRING YOUR APPLICATION TO THE EMBASSY AS INSTRUCTED

  • APPLICATION WILL BE EXAMINED IN YOUR PRESENCE (PRE-SCREENING)

  • DO NOT SEND APPLICATION BY POST NOR VISIT WITHOUT APPOINTMENT

  • INCOMPLETE APPLICATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED

  • DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED WILL NOT BE RETURNED
