Visit to Bruges and Ypres
15/03/2013 On 15th March, Ambassador Sakaba visited Bruges and exchanged views with Mayor Landuyt and Rector Demaret of the College of Europe. Then he made a visit to Ypres, the site of a hard fought battle during World War I, whose mayor Durnez showed Ambassador around Flanders Fields Museum. The significant damage that Ypres suffered from the war made us realize the importance of peace.
