Visit to Durbuy
6-7/06/2015 On June 6 and 7, Ambassador and Madam, along with Ms. Kurihara and Ms. Kuzuyama attended the opening of the International Monument Sculpturing Symposium in Durbuy, a sister city of Hanyu, Saitama. Mayor of Hanyu, Mr. Komei Kawata also attended the event with a delegation from the city to discuss the plans the 150th Years of Friendship between Belgium and Japan in 2016 and exchanged ideas about future cultural exchanges. In addition, sculptor Kazuyoshi Hirai was also invited to the event where he exhibited his work on the topic of music and friendship, the bond between the cities of Hanyu and Durbuy and Japan and Belgium.
