The Spirit of Budo
1/12/2015 On 1 December, the opening reception of “The Spirit of Budo” was held at the JICC. The reception occurred together with the inauguration of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan and His Majesty the King of Belgians as honorary presidents of 150 Years of Friendship between Japan and Belgium. Minister Yamada used this occasion to give some explanation about the 150 Years of Friendship in 2016 and elaborated on martial arts in the spirit of Japanese culture. A great number of representatives of various Belgian martial arts organizations attended the reception, along with other guests with a strong interest in these sports.
