45 years of twinning Ghent-Kanazawa
21/04/2016On 21 April, Ambassador Ishii, madam and Ms. Kurihara attended the ceremony “45 years of twinning Ghent-Kanazawa” at the Ghent City Museum STAM. After Ms. Storms, Deputy Mayor of Ghent, Mr. Termont, Mayor of Ghent and Mr. Maruguchi, Deputy Mayor of Kanazawa, delivered their speeches, all guests were treated on a 45th anniversary celebration cake by Joost Arijs, which currently receives a pâtissier from Kanazawa as an intern. To honor the longstanding sister city relationship, the mini-expo “Donated to Ghent: from kimono to samurai sword” is held at STAM.
