Business in Japan Promotion Event (Bar International Japan)
18/05/2016On May 18, Ambassador Ishii and First Secretary Ikoma attended “Bar International Japan”, an event to promote business with Japan, organized by the Flanders Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VOKA) Mechelen Branch. Ambassador Ishii explained about such matters as Japanese politics and diplomacy, as well as giving an overview of the bilateral relations between Japan and Belgium. Following this, Deputy Director General of JETRO Mr. Maeda explained about promotion measures for investments in Japan and Japanese market as a destination of foreign direct investment. Furthermore, experts supporting Belgian enterprises to do business with Japan provided information concerning legal and taxation matters as well as some of the cultural differences. Finally, a Belgian businessman shared his personal experiences of what it is like working in Japan.
