Opening ceremony of the new Nitto EMEA NV Office
12/09/2016On 12 September, Ambassador Ishii and First Secretary Ikoma participated at the opening ceremony of the new Nitto EMEA NV Office in Leuven. For Ambassador Ishii, the 150 Years of Friendship between Belgium and Japan was a good opportunity to celebrate the opening of the new office. Lodewijk De Witte, Governor of the Province of Vlaams-Brabant, and Mohamed Ridouani, Deputy Mayor of Leuven, have stated they would like to warmly welcome Nitto as a local member. They also mentioned both the advantages for companies to settle in Leuven, with the University of Leuven and IMEC, known for its research on high-technology in this municipality, and the possibility of collaboration on technological research. Nitto EMEA NV was established in January 2016 to operate as the headquarter for the whole EMEA region (Europe, Middle-East and Africa).
