Visit to the Daikin Europe NV – Ostend Factory

On December 12, Ambassador Ishii, Ms. Kurihara and Mr. Ikoma visited the Ostend Factory of Daikin Europe NV.
After a presentation on Daikin Europe and on the Ostend Factory, they visited the showroom to look at the newest equipment and models of air-conditioners and heating systems, as well as the factory to observe the production process. Some air-conditioners developed for the European market, with a great importance on design, are also starting to become popular in Japan.
The Ostend Factory was built in 1973, and employs about 1200 workers.
