Reception to Strengthen Cooperation with Sister Cities

On February 21, Ambassador Ishii hosted a reception at his residence to strengthen the cooperation with the Sister Cities. The reception was attended by the Mayor of Blankenberge as well as the Vice Mayors, or the representatives of the other Sister Cities and Friendship Ports. Ambassador Ishii expressed his gratitude toward the Sister Cities for their participation and cooperation in the 150 Years of Friendship between Japan and Belgium and his hope to further intensify our exchange, such as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. Among the attendees a lively exchange of ideas took place, which led to the reinforcing of the networks.
