160th Anniversary of Friendship Japan-Belgium Event: Opening of “Kengo Kuma- Architecture in Dialogue” at Fondation Folon

On April 17, as part of the 160th anniversary of Friendship between Japan-Belgium, the vernissage for the special exhibition “Kengo Kuma—Architecture in Dialogue” was held at Fondation Folon, in presence of Ambassador Osuga.
This exhibition was realized since Kengo Kuma and Stephanie Angelroth, Director of the Fondation Folon, shared a common vision regarding harmony between nature and humanity, recognizing the affinity between the Folon Foundation’s philosophy and Kengo Kuma’s artistic vision.
On the day of the event, following the unveiling ceremony for a monument created by students from the Faculty of Architecture at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) under the supervision of Taichi Kuma, Kengo Kuma, Ms. Angelroth, and Ambassador Osuga delivered remarks, and attendees had the opportunity to appreciat the artistic visions of the Belgian painter Folon and Kengo Kuma.
