160th Anniversary of Friendship Japan-Belgium Event: Kimono Show

On June 9, as part of the 160th anniversary of Friendship between Japan and Belgium and to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, the NPO “Be-JAPON” presented the performance “Amaterasu” at the Brussels City Hall, attended by Ambassador Osuga.
During the event, models from Be-JAPON presented a performance wearing traditional kimonos and reimagined kimono designs, allowing approximately 100 attendees—including members of the local diplomatic corps, representatives from international organizations, and figures from the arts community—to experience the beauty of Japan firsthand.
Following the performance, the Reconstruction Agency showcased products from disaster-affected areas, which were well received.
