On 27 November, the Embassy of Japan andthe Embassy of Hungary co-organized a Japanese sake and Hungarian wine seminar and wine tasting event at the Hungarian cultural center. After the speeches by the Hungarian Ambassador and Ambassador Ishii, a Belgian sommelier explained the audience about Hungarian wine and gave them the opportunity to taste. This was followed by Dutch sake expert Dick Stegewerns’ explanation and sake tasting. The participants enjoyed the wine with canapés and the Japanese sake with some Japanese-style snacks. In the end, a lively Q&A-session was held with many questions about Japanese sake such as the difference between sake and shochu.
