Courtesy Call to Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs

On September 13, Ambassador Hayashi paid a courtesy call to Mr. Dirk Van Der Maelen, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of Federal Parliament. They praised the successful celebration of the 150 Years of Friendship between Japan and Belgium, held in 2016, and exchanged views on the possible ways for further strengthening already good economic relations between Japan and Belgium, including people to people exchange in various fields and the implementation of the new bilateral Tax Convention signed in October 2016.
