JICC Japanese Film Screenings
On October 4, “Always: Sunset on Third Street 3”, the first film of the “JICC Japanese Film Screenings”, an event aimed at introducing contemporary Japanese cinema, was shown at the Japan Information and Cultural Centre (JICC). The audience enjoyed a short time slip to the Japan of 1964, when the Tokyo Olympic Games were held and the country was in the midst of high economic growth. “JICC Japanese Film Screenings” is an event which is held every Wednesday in October of this year. Next up are the screenings of “Thermae Romae” (October 11), “Samurai Cooking” (October 18) and “Kiki’s Delivery Service” (October 25).
