26th Japanese Speech Contest in Belgium

On November 25, the 26th Japanese Speech Contest in Belgium was held at the Japanese School of Brussels, in attendance of Minister Maekawa and Ms. Kono. A total of 16 persons, 4 in group A and 12 in group B, took part and held speeches in Japanese to show the result of their daily study of the language, and received a big round of applause from the audience. The first place and prize went to Mr. Jeroen van der Donck, while the Ambassador’s prize was won by Mr. Jeroen Van Cleemput.
