Horizon of Friendship Opening reception and Origami Workshop

On December 1, the opening reception of the dual exhibition “On the Horizon of Friendship” by Ms. Aimée Yamamoto, a Japanese artist living in Belgium, and Mr. Eric Schelstraete, a Belgian artist, was held at the Japan Information and Cultural Centre (JICC). The exhibition features works such as prints, tapestries, origami and poems which have the friendship between Japan and Belgium as a theme. Mr. Schelstraete, who is also a haiku poet, recited some of his haiku poetry. On December 6, an origami workshop was held at the JICC by Ms. Aimée Yamamoto, during which the young musicians Ms. Aya Kitaoka (violin) and Mr. Toru Weber (Piano) gave a musical performance.
