Conferment Ceremony of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays on Mrs. Odette Cornet - De Winter (2018 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals)

On September 27, Conferment Ceremony of the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold and Silver Rays on Mrs. Odette Cornet - De Winter, former local staff-member of the Japanese Embassy, was organised at the Residence of the Japanese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Belgium and to NATO.
Ambassador HAYASHI expressed in his speech, his gratitude to Mrs. Cornet - De Winter for the work she dedicated to the Japanese Embassy in Zaire at the time and to that in Belgium for 39 years in total, for her contribution to supporting Japanese diplomacy in order to strengthen Japan-Belgium relations and for the training she gave to other local staff-members of the Embassy, then congratulated her, together with her family, friends and others.
Mrs. Cornet - De Winter then shared with us, in her thanking remarks, her experiences, remarkable encounters and memories of her work at the Embassy for 39 years, and expressed her wish to keep her engagement with Japan in the future in any form.
All members of the Embassy of Japan to the Kingdom of Belgium extend deep gratitude to Mrs. Cornet - De Winter for her contribution to the Embassy of Japan.
