Appointment of Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassadors in Belgium

In 2022, Chef-Owner of Nonbe Daigaku, Mr.Yosuke Suetsugu, and Chef-Owner of KAMO, Mr. Tomoyasu Kamo, were appointed as Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassadors in recognition of their outstanding achievements and abilities in the promotion of and sharing knowledge about Japanese cuisine and Japanese food culture domestically and internationally from Belgium. Of the 173 Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassadors that have been appointed over the world since 2015, this is the first time anyone has been appointed from Belgium.

The appointment of Japanese Cuisine Goodwill Ambassadors is part of Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries’ initiative to further promote Japanese cuisine and Japanese food culture internationally.
