[Ambassador] Conferment Ceremony of the The Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays on the former embassy staff member (2023 Autumn Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals)

On 14 June, the Conferment Ceremony of the the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays on Mr. Jaques Franckx was held at the Embassy of Japan in Belgium. The decoration was awarded in recognition of his contributions to the activities of the Japanese overseas establishment.
At the ceremony, Ambassador Mikami awarded Mr. Franckx the diplomas and badges. Ambassador Mikami thanked him for his contributions to supporting Japanese diplomacy in order to strengthen Japan-Belgium relations and for the training he gave to other local staff members of the Embassy through his 41 years of service respectively, and congratulated him. In his appreciation speeches, Mr. Franckx expressed his honor and gratitude for receiving the decoration.
All members of the Embassy extend deep gratitude to Mr. Franckx for his contribution to the Embassy.
