The Embassy of Japan in Belgium is hiring a consular assistant for a full-time position to start at the beginning of June 2025.
Job Description
- attending to visitors at the Consular Section counter, answering telephone calls
- general administration
- external relations (manage contact with external partners, Belgian government authorities,…)
- Handling general administrative tasks for diplomats (e.g., making reservations, writing letters and
emails)
Profile
The ideal candidate for this position must meet the following requirements:
- must be able to legally work in Belgium
- mother tongue level language skills (orally and written) in Japanese and business level English are a
must. Conversation level French and/or Dutch are required.
- able to work independently without being afraid of taking initiative, yet be a good team player
- have a high sense of responsibility and excellent people and communication skills.
- excellent computer skills
Salary and Working Time
- €2,500~€4,000 (Gross). Experience and other factors will be considered.
- 38h/week, from Monday to Friday. Full time (based on Belgian legislation)
