Conferment Ceremony of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for Mr Sawada Kazuhiro, Director of the Japan Karate Association Dan Graduation/Qualification Committee

On 16th October, Ambassador Mikami hosted the Conferment Ceremony of the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for Mr Sawada Kazuhiro, Director of the Japan Karate Association Dan Graduation/Qualification Committee.

Mr Sawada first came to Belgium in 1975 and began instructing the Belgian national Karate team. Since then, for approximately 40 years, he has been engaged in cross-style karate instruction, referee training, and dan grading examinations not only in Belgium, but also across Europe and Africa, thus contributing significantly to the promotion of KARATE in Belgium. At the ceremony, Ambassador Mikami expressed deep gratitude and respect for Mr Sawada's longstanding contributions.
