Visit to the mayor of Ghent

On 3rd April, Ambassador Sakaba made a courtesy visit to Mayor Termont of Ghent in the East Flanders province. The city of Ghent has a sister city relationship with Kanazawa (Ishikawa prefecture) since 1971 and has been very active in international exchange with Japan. Ambassador exchanged views with the mayor on not only the sister city relationship, but also the further development of bilateral relations including economy.
