30th anniversary ceremony of the Antwerp office of ClassNK (Nippon Kaiji Kyokai)

On 18 November, Ambassador Ishii and second secretary Yamada attended the 30th anniversary ceremony of the Antwerp office of ClassNK. The president and chairman of the organization, Mr. Ueda also attended the ceremony and Ambassador Ishii made a speech congratulating the organization’s 30 year-long activity in Belgium. The Antwerp office employs two staff members who respond to requests from both Japanese and non-Japanese ship-owners to conduct inspections on ships that have already docked in Belgian ports.
