Ikebana Demonstration by the Headmaster of the Mishoryu

On June 27, an ikebana demonstration by the 10th Headmaster of the Mishoryu, Mr. Keiho Hihara, was held at the JICC. He explained about “kakubana” (traditional style) and “shinka” (new style) and gave a demonstration by making four different works. Many attendants took notes and pictures with great enthusiasm. Afterwards, a lively Q&A session was held.
After the demonstration, the attendants enjoyed Japanese tea and confectionary offered by Japanese teashop Azumaya from Antwerp.
