Opening of “Winter Wonders”

On November 25, the opening of “Winter Wonders” was held in Brussels, in attendance of Ambassador Ishii and Ms. Kurihara. Following his welcoming speech, the Mayor of the City of Brussels Mr. Yvan Mayeur introduced Ambassador Ishii, the Ambassador of Slovakia, the Ambassador of Canada and a representative of the city of Quebec. From the city hall, the delegation moved to the Grand Place, where the Christmas tree was illuminated during a light and sound show. Following this, there was polar bears’ performance and parade, before the delegation finally moved to the St. Catherine’s church. There, the first Japan-themed projection mapping was held, which was concluded by the audience with an enthusiastic applause.
