Meeting of Presidents of Parliamentary Friendship Groups between Japan and Belgium

On January 8, H. E. Mr. Yoshimasa Hayashi, Minister of Educatoin, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, visited Brussels and met with Hon. Mr. Siegfried Bracke, President of the House of Representatives of Belgium, in their capacity of Presidents of the respective bilateral Parliamentary Friendship Groups between Japan and Belgium, with the presence of some other members of the House of Representatives. They praised recent active exchanges between parliaments and parliamentarians of the two countries, as shown in the visit of the Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Group to Belgium in September 2016 and President Bracke’s visit to Japan in February 2017. They expressed their expectation that the Japan and Belgium will further strengthen their ties in political, economic and cultural domains.
