On September 8, the ceremony for the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Belgium-Luxemburg branch of Saga Goryu was held in Arlon, in attendance of Ms. Ikoma. At the venue of the Saga Goryu branch, the works of 10 members endeavoring in ikebana under the guidance of the head of the branch, Ms. Astrid Maton, were on display.
Following the ceremony, Director of Floral Affairs Ms. Mika Tsuji of Saga Goryu’s Daikakuji head temple held a demonstration, during which she explained about the history of Saga Goryu and the Daikakuji temple, the characteristics of ikebana and the main points of arranging the flowers, ultimately showcasing 7 works of art. The audience, which included many people from Arlon, was fascinated by the beauty of the flowers which change expression according to the way of arranging.
