Inauguration of ICO new office building

On September 12, International Car Operators (ICO) inaugurated its new office building and terminal in the Port of Zeebrugge. Mr. Tommelein, Deputy Minister-President of Flemish Government, Mr. Renaat Landuyt, Chairman of the Board of Directors Port of Zeebrugge and Mayor of Bruges, the Chief Executives of Automotive Transport and Logistics Services of NYK Line, parent company of ICO since 2007, as well as Mr. Ikoma, First Secretary of the Embassy of Japan attended the inauguration ceremony. ICO has expanded its car handling terminals up to 300 hectares in the Port of Zeebrugge and provides car handling services to 18 car manufacturers. An aluminum pavilion by Japanese architect Toyo Ito, formerly exhibited in the city of Bruge in 2002, is rebuilt in front of the new office building, symbolising the link between Japan and Belgium.
