Kita-Kyushu Academy Children’s Choir Concert

2019/3/29

On March 27, a concert by the Kita-Kyushu Academy Children’s Choir was held at the Japan Information and Cultural Centre (JICC). The choir was founded in 1975, and has been performing both in Japan and abroad. The choir gave its performances for the first time in Belgium, including at the JICC. The choir, composed of more than 40 children between the age of 11 and 18, sang songs which are well known in Japan, such as “Sakura Sakura”, “Soran Bushi” and “Ave Maria”, and the audience was impressed by the children’s clear singing voices. The choir also held concerts in the city of Genk, and enjoyed the exchanges with the people of the Belgium.
