BJA New Year Celebration

On January 28, Ambassador Shimokawa participated in the BJA New Year Celebration. This year's celebration was held online, in accordance with the “with Corona” era.
Following President of the BJA, Professor Gilbert Declerck, Ambassador Shimokawa expressed his New Year’s Greetings. Sake sommelier and manager of “Oh! My Saké”, Mr. Laurent Vanden Bak then presented participants with four types of sake, which had been delivered to them beforehand, and the tasting and interaction with the sommelier proved an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of sake culture.
We would like to express sincere gratitude to the efforts of the BJA for providing this online New Year Celebration, which was an excellent occasion to present the attractiveness of sake, and for strengthening online information dissemination of Japanese-Belgian economic relations in the current situation.
