[Ambassador] Ambassador Shimokawa’s Visit to Kaneka Eurogentec

2021/11/13
On November 8, Ambassador Shimokawa visited Kaneka Eurogentec in Seraing, Province of Liege. Kaneka Eurogentec is a bio-pharmaceutical company, created in 1985 as a spin-off of the University of Liege and is a member of Kaneka Corporation since 2010. Kaneka Eurogentec primarily manufactures and sells proteins, nucleic acids, and peptides for pharmaceuticals and diagnostic drugs and for research reagents. Moreover, particularly in these times of COVID-19, Kaneka Eurogentec is getting more and more attention through the development and production of gene therapies including the COVID-19 vaccines and the supply of qPCR test reagents.

After his meeting with members of Kaneka Eurogentec’s management team such as Mr. Lieven Janssens, Ambassador Shimokawa visited the manufacturing facility, newly inaugurated last year with an investment of about 45 million Euro.
