[Ambassador] Participation in the Brussels Indo-Pacific Dialogue

On 30 January, the Brussels Indo-Pacific Dialogue was organised by the Center for Security, diplomacy and Strategy of the Brussels School of Governance, Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB-CSDS), and Ambassador Mikami and Director-General for Press and Public Diplomacy Maki Kobayashi and participated as panelists.
This event was organised as the second edition of the Brussels Indo-Pacific Forum, and several ambassadors of countries in the Indo-Pacific region and renowned experts in the field participated as panelists. Director-General Kobayashi participated as a panel in the first session “The War in Ukraine and the Future of the Rules-based Global Order”, and so did Ambassador Mikami in the fourth session “The Spirit of Camp David: Contribution to Regional Stability”. The discussions covered a wide range of topics, including the implications of the war in Ukraine on Indo-Pacific, economic security, and supply chains. The participants had fruitful and rewarding conference.
The event concluded with a keynote speech by Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, who stated the importance of cooperation between Europe and the Indo-Pacific region as members of the global community.
