General conditions
- Belgian nationals
- Born on or after 2 April 1999
- Graduated from a school equivalent to the senior high school in Japan (12-years education)
- Willing to learn Japanese and receive university education in Japanese
Application Schedule
The following schedule may change according to regulatory measures.

Written exams and interviews*1 | The latter half of June – the beginning of July 2023 |
Results of primary screening in Belgium*2 | Early July 2023 |
Secondary screening in Tokyo | October to November 2023 |
FINAL RESULTS with placement by Tokyo | January 2024 |
Pre-departure orientation | March 2024 |
Departure for Japan | April or September/October 2024 |
*1: Past exams can be viewed here.
*2: Please note that, although candidates may be successful up until this point, the final result depends on confirmation of your university placement.

・Make an appointment by email (info@bx.mofa.go.jp) for your documents submission during the application period (from 2 May to 5 June). Be sure that you have all the required documents.
Opening hours:9:15-12:00 and 13:30-16:00 (Mon.- Fri.)
・Application documents will be examined in your presence.
Application deadline: 5 June 2023 (Monday), 16:00
