During the lecture, it was explained how the history of art nouveau developed, what its characteristics are, as well as how it was influenced by japonism and especially by ukiyo-e during the end of the 19th century. The invitees enjoyed the beautiful art nouveau glass crafts as well as the aesthetic ikebana by Saga goryu. The exhibition “Crystal and Chrysanthemum: Japonism in Art Nouveau Glass” is held until the beginning of May.
