Visit of H.M. Queen Mathilde to Ukiyo-e Exhibition at the Cinquantenaire Museum

On November 17, Her Majesty Queen Mathilde visited the exhibition “Ukiyo-e, the Finest Japanese Prints”, which is currently held at the Cinquantenaire Museum on the occasion of the 150 Years of Friendship between Japan and Belgium. From the Embassy’s side, Minister Yamada and Ms. Kurihara attended.
 
H.M. Queen Mathilde was welcomed by Director Ad Interim of the Museums for Art and History Ms. Alexandra De Poorter, who subsequently introduced the other attendees. Following this, Her Majesty listened attentively to the explanation of the curator, while asking many questions and enjoying the exhibition.
