Visit to the City of Ostend and economic facilities

On September 19, Ambassador Hayashi visited the City of Ostend and economic facilities around the city, thanks to the arrangement by Ostend House of Economy (Economisch Huis). After a courtesy call on Mr. Vande Lanotte, Mayor of Ostend, Ambassador Hayashi visited the Ostend-Bruges International Airport, Port of Oostende, GreenBridge incubation centre and industrial zones to learn their geographical features and advantages. He also met with entrepreneurs of some state-of-the-art sectors, such as communication humanoid robotics and recycling based in Ostend. Closely located to the United Kingdom, northern part of France and southern part of the Netherlands, economic infrastructures around the City of Ostend have abundant capacity to offer to new investors.
