The MOT could persuade this famous over 80-year old to demonstrate his skills to the public. During his demonstration, the grinding and the set of teeth will be explained, as well as the various tooth shapes. One of the most difficult and least understood parts, namely putting the stress in the blade, will also be showed. Workshop | Artistic Experimentations for a New Society: Continuities and Ruptures in Japan before and after the War The Experimental Workshop (Jikken Kōbō, active 1951-ca.1957) was an artistic group which anticipated the postwar Japan avant-garde movement. The numerous "experimentations" they conducted for the post-war new society qualify them as forerunners even outside of Japan. Using the artistic experimentations of Jikken Kōbō as a case study, the two speakers (Mr Okamoto Genta and Ms Ikeno Ayako) will reflect on artistic and cultural continuity and discontinuity in Japan before and after the war. |

Vernissage: 21 Oct at 19:30 |
